DREAMING opened at OTA Contemporary on Friday, March 1st, featuring David A. Clark and introducing Yuri Fukuoka.

The guests were curious about DREAMING and how we all need to keep listening to and following our dreams.  Seeing how this inspiration transformed David A Clark’s Ancient Histories is mesmerizing.  David creates unique and groundbreaking expressions using painterly encaustic printmaking involving beeswax, pigment and glue on exotic papers and leather.  Utilizing the arrow, which carries potent symbolic meaning, David explores universal themes of humanity about moment and the passage of time plus meditations on direction, impulse and legacy.  Together these serve as metaphors for the evolution of the human spirit.

Yuri Fukuoka, who creates magic with porcelain, strives to communicate through delicate flower and shell like forms the connections we have with the world around us.  She believes we all hold the map of the sky, space, nature and happiness and dreams, and she hopes you will experience this connective beauty in her art.

OTA invites you to experience DREAMING and see for yourself the beauty in David A. Clark’s and Yuri Fukuoka’s works.  It is a time for dreaming…for remembering the beauty of connectedness we share.  See for yourself and be inspired by the beauty in art.
